At first, I was just looking for a fancy text generator.

So I did what pretty much anyone would do — I searched Google for "fancy text generator."

I opened the websites ranking in the top 10.

And honestly, I was expecting to find something different.

But after going through them, I started noticing something.

The designs looked similar. The websites felt similar. And more importantly, the fancy text styles they offered were also very similar.

Most of them had the same limited collection of fonts.

You would open one website, find a few styles you liked, then open another one hoping to find something new...

And you'd see almost the same thing again.

That got me thinking.

People aren't necessarily choosing the same style because they like the same thing.

And that's when the idea became interesting.

How We Built a Fancy Text Generator With 2,000+ Working Fonts

I didn't want to make another website where we simply copied the same 100–200 styles everyone else was already providing.

If we were going to build one, I wanted it to actually solve the problem.

So we started with research.

First, we looked at the fancy text styles that existing generators were already providing.

Then we started looking for the styles that were missing.

But there was another problem.

Some styles don't render properly. Some characters can break. Some look good in one place but completely weird somewhere else. You can read more about how Unicode characters behave across devices on Wikipedia.

So we didn't want to simply collect thousands of random characters and call them "2,000+ fonts."

We went through the styles, checked what was already available, looked for missing variations, and filtered out styles that didn't work properly.

After going through all of that, we ended up with 2,000+ fancy text styles that actually work.

That was the point where this stopped being just an idea.

We actually had something different.

And this is where the engineer in me really came into the picture.

We had thousands of styles.

Great.

We could have just dumped everything onto one page. Technically, that would work.

But from a user's point of view?

It would be terrible.

So we started thinking about it differently.

Instead of showing everything at once, we grouped the styles.

As someone who works in marketing, I kept looking at this from another angle.

People don't want to spend five minutes figuring out how a tool works.

Especially when the task is this simple.

While building the tool, we also realised that people want to know what their text is going to look like before they actually use it.

Because finding a style that looks good inside a generator is one thing.

There was one more thing we didn't want to compromise on.

The number came from the problem we found.

We wanted to go through what was already available, identify what was missing, remove styles that didn't work properly, and build a much larger collection around that.

We've all been there.

Built Around a Real User Problem (Not Just Features)

Looking back, the whole idea came from something pretty simple.

That combination is basically what shaped the product.

We didn't want to build another fancy text generator that looked like every other fancy text generator.
